Sauna Nights

Sauna Nights

At Bristol Art & Medical Spa, we organize regular Sauna Nights held in the new event sauna located on the hotel’s roof. In addition to Mateusz and Paweł, who oversee the sauna area on a daily basis, special guests at these Sauna Nights include some of the best sauna masters in Poland, such as Marcin Radecki, Ryszard Rak, Karol Kocielnik, Radosław Sieraj, and Maciek Piczura.

A regular event is Tuesday Sauna Evenings. Every Tuesday from 6:45 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., guests can enjoy four sauna sessions at 7:00 p.m., 7:45 p.m., 8:30 p.m., and 9:15 p.m. Tuesday Sauna Evenings are free for hotel guests, while others are subject to the current price list. Participation requires prior reservation.

During Sauna Nights, our sauna masters conduct sessions in the Finnish sauna using aromatic oils, body scrubs, and balms. They use towels to distribute heat evenly in the sauna, ensuring a balanced temperature throughout the space. Each session is accompanied by music. Sessions last about 11-15 minutes, with a total of 6 sessions throughout the night.

Sauna Nights take place from 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. During these events, a textile-free zone is in effect for the entire Level 3 area, including the pool, after 10:00 p.m.

Sauna Night Rules

Saunas are a unique place with specific rules that every visitor should follow. This is a relaxation zone, so please remain quiet.

  1. Before entering the sauna:
    • Take a lukewarm shower and dry your body.
    • Remove your swimsuit, swimming trunks, shorts, flip-flops, jewelry, and watch.
  2. In the sauna:
    • Enter the Finnish, infrared, and bio saunas wrapped in a towel or pareo, and sit on a second towel so your body (including feet) does not touch the wooden benches.
    • Enter the steam sauna naked, and rinse the seating area before and after the session.
  3. During the session:
    • Relax and avoid talking. If you wish to pour water on the stove in the Finnish sauna, ask for permission from your fellow sauna users.
  4. After the session:
    • After a 15-minute session, take a lukewarm shower to wash off the sweat, and only then use the cooling barrel.
    • Rest after the session for at least the same duration as the session itself.

Why Should We Sauna Without Swimsuits?

During a thermal bath in a sauna, the sweat glands begin to secrete sweat, which helps expel toxins, urea, and other impurities from the body. Swimsuits made of synthetic materials can trap these toxins in your skin’s open pores, which can lead to irritation in sensitive areas. Additionally, the heat in the sauna promotes bacterial growth on the swimsuit, which can transfer to the jacuzzi, pool, or other surfaces. Therefore, it’s recommended to sauna without swimsuits to allow your skin to properly expel toxins and keep the space hygienic.
